There are some major players in the history of electricity, and today we talk about two of them: Ben Franklin and Thomas Edison. Franklin laid the groundwork that Edison would build upon and take to a new level. In the war of AC vs. DC, Edison was backing DC, and his work was built upon the direct current it produced.
