Boomer & Gio Podcast (WHOLE SHOW)

Hour 1
The Chiefs improved to 8-0 by beating the Bucs. Patrick Mahomes injured his ankle but stayed in the game. We talked about the potential of the Chiefs going undefeated. Gio thinks the Giants would be a much better team if Baker Mayfield was teamed with Brian Daboll. Jerry is here for his first update of the day and has the call as the Chiefs beat the Bucs in OT. Mahomes talked about Andy Reid wanting to take him out of the game because of his ankle but he wouldn’t let that happen. Todd Bowles talked about kicking the extra point to tie instead of going for 2 to win it. Brian Daboll was asked if Daniel Jones is still the starting QB (he is). Gerrit Cole is staying with the Yankees at the exact same deal he had, even though he opted out. Dodgers pitcher Joe Kelly said the Yankees were a mismatch from the get go and they’re lazy. The Knicks lost to the Rockets in Houston. In the final segment of the hour, Tom Brady is getting a lot of criticism again for his broadcasting. Skip Bayless called him ‘the Daniel Jones of broadcasting’. Mark Sanchez called Daniel Jones ‘the snowman’ and it confused the staff of Evan & Tiki.
Hour 2
Gio thinks it’s funny when players on bad teams criticize other teams. He’s talking specifically about Micah Parsons saying the Giants are stupid because they let Saquon Barkley go. Saquon being on the Giants would not make them better than they are right now. They would still be 2-7. The Cowboys play the Eagles and will be without Dak Prescott. The Jets are going to need a head coach and the top candidates want nothing to do with Woody Johnson. Because of that, Gio said they should go out and get Jon Gruden. Jerry returns for an update, but first we talked more about Jon Gruden and the Jets. Jerry suggested the Jets reuniting Rodgers with Mike McCarthy. We heard Kevin Harlan on the call as the Chiefs won in OT to go 8-0. Jason Kelce talked about his viral episode saying he ‘greeted hate with hate’ by smashing that dude’s phone and he wished he didn’t do that. In the final segment of the hour, a caller sat behind Peter Schwartz at the St. John’s game. Another caller thinks Jon Gruden got the shaft from the NFL.
Hour 3
We start the hour with calls. One thinks Jerry Jones is spending too much time with the NFL and not enough time on the Dallas Cowboys. We talked more about Jason Kelce smashing that dude’s phone. Pat McAfee claims he turned down interviews with both Trump and Harris. Boomer thinks he just didn’t want to get involved with politics and just wants to do sports. Boomer thinks maybe there were interview parameters that he wouldn't agree to. Jerry returns for an update and starts with the Chiefs improving to 8-0 by beating the Bucs in OT. Adam Schein declared the Dallas Cowboys dead. Micah Parsons said the Giants are stupid for getting rid of Saquon Barkley. Dodgers pitcher Joe Kelly talked about how sloppy the Yankees were in the field. He said the Yankees should have been ranked eighth in the playoffs. In the final segment of the hour, Stu Feiner calls in.
Hour 4
In discussing Juan Soto free agency, we looked at some of the other huge deals and whether they’ve been worth it or not. The Bryce Harper contract seems like nothing today. Jerry returned for his final update of the day but first we talked about producing at WFAN when you would play ‘hotel bingo’ to try to get players on. Jerry has audio of Dave Roberts and his fear of the Yankees winning and having to go back to Los Angeles. David Stearns met the media and will not spend just to spend, it has to be right for the team. The Chiefs improved to 8-0 by beating the Bucs in OT. Joe Buck talked about having to be early to be on time for Troy Aikman. The Moment of The Day: Boomer says ‘Buc-ca-neers’. In the final segment of the hour, how long will we stay up watching election results? Who’s going to be the Cowboys coach next season? Bill Belichick? And who’s calling plays for the Raiders now that they fired their coordinators?
