Hour 1

Aaron Glenn is officially the new head coach of the NY Jets. They still don’t have a GM and are bringing in a few guys for a second interview. Glenn is part of the Bill Parcells coaching tree and worked with Sean Payton and was also a scout for the Jets. We also need an offensive coordinator and a quarterback. Mark Brunell could be an option for OC. Glenn is going to have to lay the hammer down the same way Parcells did. What will happen with Aaron Rodgers now? Boomer said that should be up to the head coach and nobody else. Jerry is here for his first update of the day and starts with Ben Johnson talking about quarterbacks making the difference in games and Jerry and Boomer battling about that. The Jags fired Trent Balke. Nick Sirianni talked about playing the Commanders for the third time this season. Dan Quinn was asked about being the underdog again. The Bills and Chiefs are so similar to each other according to Boomer. Patrick Mahomes was asked if he gets favorable calls from the refs. We heard John Minko on the call as St. John’s beat Xavier. Mariano Rivera is involved in a strange lawsuit that we will need more information on before commenting. In the final segment of the hour, a caller wonders how Aaron Glenn was in the locker room after the Marino spike game. Boomer said the defenders, including Glenn, did not quit on the play.

Hour 2

The Titans said they will not pass on a generational talent in the draft. That person is most likely Travis Hunter and not a quarterback. That means, to Gio, that the Giants are taking Shedeur Sanders. There is no way Deion will let the Browns draft him. They can draft Cam Ward. We also talked about Pat Shurmur’s time with the Giants and whether he was good or not. Jerry returns for an update and starts with Dan Campbell from Hard Knocks loving on Aaron Glenn and then Glenn’s message to the team. Caleb Williams is excited to get Ben Johnson in the organization. Jayden Daniels talked about how far they’ve come so far this season. We heard from Mahomes and Josh Allen about the upcoming Championship game. Sal is having eye surgery and BT was sympathetic. BT’s buddy did his vasectomy. Chris Russo was on Howard Stern to talk about urological issues. Mike Francesa did not like Melania Trump’s hat at the inauguration. Adam Schein really loves Ben Johnson. He is not happy with the MLB Hall of Fame voters. John Minko’s on the call as St. John’s beat Xavier. In the final segment of the hour, a group of Chilean men were arrested for burglarizing Joe Burrow’s home. He’s a young guy who looks like The Rizzler. He was wearing a Bengals hat. Should the Giants get Sam Darnold? The Titans or Browns may go after him. Boomer doesn’t want Darnold back here in NY with the Giants.

Hour 3

We talked about names still in the mix for Jets GM. Which NY media guys currently covering the Jets were on the beat back when Aaron Glenn was a player? There are still some interesting openings, like who’s going to be the head coach in Dallas? We talked about potential defensive coordinators for the Jets, including Steve Wilks. That guy has had way too many jobs in a short amount of time. We also talked about Al getting ‘antsy’ whenever he goes somewhere like a football game. He wants to get out of there. Jerry returns for an update and starts with Ben Johnson as he met the media and talked about what he’s bringing to the Bears. Caleb Williams talked about the ‘fire in the eyes’ of Ben Johnson. We played some of Al’s old songs about Adam Gase’s crazy eyes. Jalen Hurts is well aware of what Jayden Daniels is doing. Daniels was asked about being a rookie potentially leading his team to a Super Bowl. John Minko was on the call as St. John’s beat Xavier. Chris Russo said, ‘I’ve got to get myself the old man diaper’. In the final segment of the hour, Boomer liked Melania Trump’s hat. Gio doesn’t like a woman in a hat.
