Bootleg Baptist

Well, I'm back! This week is an intro to creeds and confessions so next week we can start a walk through the 1689 London Baptist Confession of Faith. Make. sure you help a brother out and share and like the episode. The audience grows because of you! Feel free to friend request me or send me messages: Nick Staley.

Here is the article I talked about in this episode from the SOLA Network https://sola.network/article/why-creeds-confessions-matter/

This week I'm joined by my fellow One Life Church pastor Nathan Brackenridge and we talk family devotions. We often times feel guilt over not doing it but we want to encourage you to get on the horse and start now! It's never too late to get started and if you already are doing it, you may just find this to be helpful!

This week is all about work and vocation. Businesses today are in desperate need of labor and we Christians ought to be ready to work and do it to the Glory of God. We need to be the best workers, the most courageous entrepreneurs, and tired at the end of our day. Listen in as I discuss this much needed and often misunderstood topic. As Luther said, “God doesn’t need your work, your neighbor does."

Over the last few years it has become more and more apparent that America is not a "atheistic" country at all, rather it is in the midst of a religious uprising. You may be surprised to hear that but hear me out because I'm not saying Christianity is growing, but instead it's, what I'm calling, "The Religion of America".

I'm joined on this episode by my friend Mike Raths from Stewardship Financial Group and we are talking about leaving a financial legacy and the best ways to do it. We have bought into the belief that an IRA, 401k, or pension are the best thing out there to get us retired, well there is another way that, legally, side steps the IRS and you need to hear about it! It's a long episode because you are basically brought into a long conversation but it is so worth it! Plus, with what Mike brings to the table you could make sure that your children or a non-profit can continue with the wealth you earned over your lifetime long after you’re gone.

You can connect with Mike to see how he can help you at www.stewardshipfinancialgrp.com or email him at [email protected].

Don't forget to like and share the stuff going on at Reformed Man and Street Light Broadcasting, these are my boys!

Noah Webster defined manliness as, "The qualities of a man; dignity; bravery; boldness" but the church has been lacking in men of such character for quite a while now. As America has become confused on masculinity we need a biblical definition of what it is then we need to live to glorify God as men and be principled in all we do. #manliness #actlikemen #manly

This week I am joined again by Pastor Eric Stewart from One Life church. We discuss division and sectarianism, what they are, and how to not be divisive and sectarian. It's a problem in the church but can even be a problem in the home so check this episode out! Don't forget to subscribe to the podcast on whatever feed you use and be sure to share the episode.

This week I'm joined by Pastor Eric Stewart, lead pastor of One Life church, my fellow elder, and former church planting catalyst with the North American Mission Board (NAMB) as we discuss women preachers in the SBC, what both NAMB and the Baptist State Convention of Michigan believe on this issue (we support this with documentation), and what we see that scripture as well as the Baptist Faith and Message 2000 clearly says on this subject. Before you just blow us off, hear us out, we aren't just complaining but are dealing with the principle of the matter. If we are wrong or have misrepresented anyone we are open for a discussion with any leadership in the SBC. So, give it a watch on Facebook or Youtube or check it out on all podcast feeds on Friday.
