Border Art: Step Over the Wall – Step 1: Mexican Muralism

Listen Later

“Border art: step over the wall!” is a documentary series on the History of Border Art, an emerging artistic genre, born on the US-Mexico boundary. On this highly symbolic and emblematic border of the world's closure, artists, scholars and curators from both sides seek ways to transform division into connection.

Episode 1: Let’s take a step back in time through the history of Border Art, embarking on a journey that starts with the Mexican muralism tradition: a popular artistic expression using wall paintings to address social and political issues.
