• On Tuesday, May 31st, ShareWaves held a 3-hour “live” radio event – with our partners at Sports Radio 810WHB. 
• Together we took a deep dive into the adolescent mental health crisis in the US, the impact COVID restrictions have had on our children's well-being, and the positive role physical activity, exercise, and sports can have in HELPING KIDS reconnect, heal, and thrive.
• Hear from leading mental health experts as they discuss how structured play, physical activity, and sports can support the social, emotional, and physical well-being of youth.
• We cut the radio broadcast up into 3 separate show segments to make listening easier. 

Segment 1

• This 1st segment is a clear explanation of the entire “Border Showdown for Kids. 
• Learn about The ShareWaves Foundation and our mission to advance opportunities for all children to experience the life-enriching power of sports. 
• We also feature an in-depth conversation with Zik Zwanganga and Ebrima “Abraham” Sisay, community activists, and mental health experts.
• Both gentlemen were born in Africa and have a unique perspective on the current state of mental wellness in our city.
