EVERYBODY WANTS TO JOIN THE fleaBITE BAND follows fleaBITE on a wild musical mission: to form the greatest insect band the world has ever heard. With his trusty travel companions, The Fabulous Fleamales, he sets off across Aotearoa (New Zealand), usually hitching a ride on the nearest dog. In every small town, fleaBITE meets a new insect musician desperate to kick-start their career before their life cycle runs out. Across 13 episodes, listeners meet 13 wonderfully eccentric bugs, each with their own personality, quirks, and instrument of choice. Along the way, kids get a fresh look at species we often fear or squirm at. Are dust mites eating skin flakes really so different from us eating cornflakes?
