“But very early on Sunday morning, the women went to the tomb, taking the spices they had prepared. 2 They found that the stone had been rolled away from the entrance. 3 So they went in, but they didn’t find the body of the Lord Jesus. 4 As they stood there puzzled, two men suddenly appeared to them, clothed in dazzling robes.5 The women were terrified and bowed with their faces to the ground. Then the men asked, “Why are you looking among the dead for someone who is alive? 6 He isn’t here! He is risen from the dead! “We are sure of this because Christ was raised from the dead, and he will never die again. Death no longer has any power over him. 10 When he died, he died once to break the power of sin. But now that he lives, he lives for the glory of God. 11 So you also should consider yourselves to be dead to the power of sin and alive to God through Christ Jesus.” Romans 6:9-11 (NLT)

FROM BROKENNESS TO BREAKTHROUGH

1. Sin Breaks Us All

“All of us have sinned and fallen short of God's glory.” Romans 3:23 (CEV)

2. Jesus Was Broken For Us

“He was pierced for our transgressions, crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was on him, and by his wounds we are healed.” Isaiah 53:5 (NIV)

• The Cross = Broken Future

• The 39 Stripes = Broken Bodies

• The Crown of Thorns = Broken Dreams

• The Nails on His Hands = Broken Freedom

• The Nail on His Feet = Broken Peace

• The Spear – A Broken Heart

3. Because He Rose, We Can Rise

THE RESURRECTION TURNS BROKENNESS TO BREAKTHROUGH

🔁 The Cross → A Door to an Eternal Future

🔁 The Stripes → Hope for Healing

“The Spirit of God, who raised Jesus from the dead, lives in you. And just as God raised Christ Jesus from the dead, he will give life to your mortal bodies by this same Spirit living within you.” Romans 8:11 NLT)

🔁 The Crown Of Thorns → Hope of Provision

“Though he was rich, yet for your sake he became poor, so that you through his poverty might become rich.” 2 Corinthians 8:9 (NLT)

🔁 The Nails → Freedom from Guilt & Shame

🔁 The Pierced Feet → Deliverance From Oppression
