WPKN's Luis Pomales interviews Luis Puig (Pooch).  His story begins in Communist Cuba with a frail and sickly child, whose father was Castro's political prisoner, and a family struggling to survive in a totalitarian regime. 

Then a daring escape in an overcrowded fishing boat full of refugees and a rebirth as a submariner in the US Navy.  

The book was placed in the "Laino Book into Movies Award for 2020.
