Over the past four seasons of the Boss Body podcast, I’ve connected with incredible women and experts, explored the ups and downs of menopause, weight release, body image, self-care, and more.
So many of you have shared how much this podcast has meant to you. And it has meant so much to me too! This wasn’t an easy decision, but today I’m sharing why this will be the final episode of the Boss Body podcast, and what’s coming next.
This isn’t a goodbye, it’s a pivot. After listening deeply to what my community needs most, I’m shifting my energy toward new ways of serving you: short training videos on YouTube, Facebook, and Instagram with actionable tips, plus articles and blog posts, to support your journey and to help you continue to grow and evolve.
Midlife isn’t about adding more, it’s about getting clarity on what truly supports your health, your energy, and the life you want to create. And letting go of what’s no longer in alignment. This is me modeling how I can best honor myself and inviting you to explore what will best support your next chapter.
It has been my honor to serve you in this space and I look forward to continuing to learn and grow alongside you.
Episode Highlights
01:05 – Why this is the final episode
04:12 – The pivot to how I can better support you
07:30 – Shifting from doing more to getting clarity
11:15 – How to support your own health and energy

::Trigger Warning::
This episode contains discussions about trauma and emotional eating. If this topic is sensitive or triggering to you, please listen at your discretion.
We tend to think of overeating or eating when we’re not hungry as a lack of willpower or discipline. Feeling intense shame afterward. Vowing to never do it again. Only to keep returning to food and repeating the cycle over and over.
We’re great at blaming ourselves, but have you ever considered that your eating habits might be linked to deeper issues? And that your perceived lack of control is actually a survival mechanism?
Today Diane Petrella, MSW, clinical social worker, and author of Healing Emotional Eating for Trauma Survivors, and I discuss the link between childhood trauma and emotional eating.
Highlights Timings:
03:01 - The Link Between Trauma and Emotional Eating
10:01 - Early Trauma and Its Long-Term Effects
15:01 - Coping Mechanisms and Food as Comfort
20:01- Strategies to Manage Emotional Eating

It can be easy to fall into the trap of waiting. Waiting to lose weight, to save enough money, to retire, etc., before finally starting to live the life you want. In this episode, master certified life coach and midlife mentor, Suzy Rosenstein, teaches us how to break free from "waiting mode," get clear on what we really want, and take action toward our dreams now, not someday in the future.
Key Takeaways:
Aging Is a Privilege: Reframing aging as a gift, not a downhill slide
Suzy’s F.U.N. Framework: Find Your Thoughts, Understand What You Want, and Nurture Your Commitment
The Cost of Waiting: Every day you delay is a day lost from living the life you crave
“Most women I work with don’t even know what they want because they’ve spent so many years taking care of everyone else. Find your thoughts, understand your desires, and nurture your commitment—this is how you start living on purpose again.” — Susie Rosenstein

So many of us have become disconnected from our bodies–pushing through exhaustion; ignoring our physical cues for hunger, thirst, or rest; and numbing emotions with food, work, or social media.
This week, I sit down with Toni Bergins, M.Ed., founder and director of JourneyDance®, to explore how body movement through dance can be a pathway to reconnect with your body, express emotions, release old trauma, and step into to your joy, authenticity, sensuality, and power.
Key Takeaways:
Dance as Deep Healing: Movement isn’t just physical, it’s a pathway to emotional release, spiritual awakening, and self-connection.
Safe Containers for Vulnerability: Through a guided process like JourneyDance®, you can safely explore and release your emotions–joy, anger, and even rage–and start to heal old patterns.
Empowerment Through Expression: The act of honoring your feelings is the key to inhabiting your body and living authentically.
“We’ve been told to be smaller, quieter, and less emotional. Dance gives us permission to be big, bold, and beautifully alive. Movement is the medicine that allows emotions to move through us instead of staying stuck in us. Every emotion has a place–rage, grief, joy, sensuality” – Toni Burgins
Highlights
00:00 – The importance of reconnecting with your body
03:10 – Toni’s story
10:29 – Spiritual awakening and JourneyDance®
13:31 – Why it’s important to express and release your emotions
18:46 – How dance supports self-connection, healing, and spiritual awakening
