The Phoenix Down Family came by and blessed the new GDP Studios! For those who don't know: The Golden Hours Podcast was previously run at Phoenix Down Recording in Somerville, a studio owned and operated by John Scott. Phoenix Down is absolutely the hub of Boston music right now, with most popular Boston artists getting their songs mixed and recorded there. Phoenix Down has also attracted a handful of major league, commercial industry artists like Snoop Dogg, Lil Baby, Crumb, and Cal Boy; which is a huge deal for the city. We recently relocated the show to a different part of the Golden Deer Forest, and so shouts out to Josh Schuback (featured previously on Episode 53 of the podcast) and Surf Mike (seasonal studio operations manager) for coming onto the podcast. This was a double faceted conversation. They discussed:

• Working with mainstream artists like Cal Boy and Lil Baby and its importance in growing Boston's Music Scene

• The resources Boston artists have available to them

• Maintaining Balance while living a "Studio Life" (Josh is entering his final term at Tufts)

Surf Mike is also a HUGE advocate for Plant-based diets, so he discussed:

• The Benefits of his Plant-Based Diet and it's Affect on Skin

• His Reasoning for Going Vegan
