This week, we continue our series called "Love Your Enemies". Turning to the story of Joseph and his brothers, we challenge ourselves to understand the depth of forgiveness, not as a way for everyone to be comfortable, but as a way to break the cycle of harming one another.

This week, we celebrated Native American Ministries Sunday as we welcomed Sarah Augustine, Executive Director of the Coalition to Dismantle the Doctrine of Discovery, who challenges us that there is only one side in this world: those who align with the systems of life. How can we collectively choose to tell a different story to bring forth the kin-dom of God? 

This week, we celebrated UMCOR Sunday as we welcomed Kathy Bryson, the Co-Disaster Response Coordinator for the  Pacific Northwest Annual Conference, who invited us to experience the Parable of the Good Samaritan through the lens of disaster response and everyday life. May we be people who notice those unexpected opportunities to love our neighbors!
