In today's episode, Emily talks all about boundaries. She outlines what boundaries are and what they are not. Boundaries are not:

  • being too much
  • being rude or demanding
  • an ultimatum
  • what someone needs to do for you
  • set to restrict or trap you
  • not demands, expectations, or idle threat

Boundaries are:

  • putting the power in your hands
  • concise and kind
  • if/then statements
  • put in place to help you live the life you want to live
  • a course of action used to take care of yourself
  • what YOU do

Boundaries identify our triggers and understand what we need for ourselves. These are repeatable actions and phrases used to reinforce the borders we have in place.
