This week we look to the coming of the Holy Spirit upon the disciples and Peter's message to the crowd who gathered, asking the question - What will you do with Jesus?

This week as we begin this series we will look to Jesus ministry, the great promises he gave to his disciples as he sent them out: "I will build my Church" and "Wait for the Spirit to come upon you"

This week as we close out our series we look to Matthew 10 as Jesus sends out the 12. Throughout this passage we find a tension between good news and bad news for the disciples - Not everything will be easy, but the Spirit will be with you.

This week we explore the promises of the Kingdom of Heaven, like a net that catches fish of all kinds. We see the promises that we are judged on merit - ultimately we have a choice - will we rely on our own merit, or choose Christ and the gift of his righteousness? What will you do with Jesus?

This week we challenge ourselves to take stoke of the things we value most and ask are we willing to surrender these for the greatest treasure - the Kingdom of God

This week we look to the parables of the mustard seed and the leaven and see the incredible promise of God's Kingdom come. As we do we ask the question - How. How will God do this and How can we be a part of it?

This week we look to the parable of the weeds and ask the questions: why is there wickedness in the world? Why do the wicked prosper? Does God have a plan for me? How can I grow amongst the weeds?

This week we begin our short series in Matthew 13 exploring some of Jesus parables. We ask why Jesus spoke in parables and what it means for us to follow Jesus, to come to him and also how these parables show us how to make disciples.

This week we begin with an overview, courageously preparing ourselves to confront our hurt with the comfort of the hope that comes from a faithful and compassionate God.

This week we conclude our series looking at the book of Micah. The Major theme throughout Micah’s prophecy is that God’s judgment can be a source of hope because his covenant love and promises are more powerful than human evil. God’s ultimate purpose is not to destroy but to save and redeem. Micah finishes his book with a lament of sorts to God – like those famous words from Apollo 13 -Heaven we have a problem. God’s people are out of step with their covenant, they are not following in God’s ways, their hearts do not belong to him, yet God remains faithful, God has a plan. The failures of a generation cannot prevent God’s promise to redeem his creation, to provide for mankind’s salvation. He indeed is always faithful. Bowen Baptist Church Rev Nick Riley
