Heaven is not about pearly gates, golden streets or a glassy sea. It’s not about angels, glorified Bible characters or seeing our departed loved ones who have gone on before us. The central point of focus is an eternal throne inhabited by a risen King. With all of the splendor of Heaven, one thing stands out as the most important fixture of all: the glorious throne of Jesus Christ. This message contains the single most important aspect of what it means to be a Christian. The Kingship of Jesus over the entire cosmos is the enduring theme of the ages. If we can stay anchored in and fixated upon the throne of Jesus, the rest of our lives will make sense and bring glory to God and deep pleasure for us. We join with the angelic throng and fall down before the throne of King Jesus, discovering His majesty and our never ending need for Him.
