Arguably the biggest news event of the 90s was the premature death of the biggest celebrity of the same decade. Seventeen years later a seemingly guaranteed success was released starring Naomi Watts portraying 'The People's Princess' as the true romance of her final two years. What should have been a tasteful biopic, or perhaps even a tasteless parody, instead was dismissed by most as a dull, terrible film with no real reason to exist.
