Eddie "Daddy Rumpkins" Barella is the quick-tempered, wig-haired patriarch of the Barella family who lives with son Marconi Bologna and his wife, Tabatha, who were forced to move into Daddy's basement after losing money in a business deal gone awry. After Marconi's kids from a previous marriage leave the house, Daddy's delinquent grandson Bubba is ordered to live with his grandfather after being released from juvenile hall and placed on probation. Biff Henderson, Eddie's friend, and neighbor is a frequent visitor to the Barella household, which is often the site of bickering between abrasive Daddy Rumpkins and his loved ones. Eddie Barella stars as Daddy Rumpkins, a character he originated in sketches on "The Cubby Barnett Show."
