In a wide ranging interview on Connecticut's budget situation, Speaker of the House of Representatives Joe Aresimowicz said that for the first time, the House will hold a vote on a contract ratified by state public employee unions. The unions and Gov. Malloy negotiated a concessions deal, with the state facing massive deficits. The Speaker promised a vote, when the legislature meets July 24th at its mandated veto session.
