Brad Gosse of Vector Toons was stuck trying to find a way to scale the storage and delivery functions for sales of his cartoon images, and WordPress had broken. WooCommerce was no longer doing the job.
And it turned out this problem was far more complex and challenging than anyone realized...including "experts" who said they'd figured out the way to solve it. Scaling WordPress for over one million images turned out to be a project failure.
