Brad Hore first pulled on the boxing gloves at 10 year old. He qualified for the Sydney 2000 Olympic games at 17, but a cruel twist of fate meant he didn’t make weight and was disqualified. After that heartbreak, he focused on making the Athens Games team in 2004 and was successful in competing as Australia’s 23rd Indigenous Olympian.
Since retiring from boxing, Brad's been a mentor and role model for young Indigenous people and has used his experience in and out of the ring to give back and educate those who are most vulnerable.
He is passionate about looking after his mental health, giving back and setting the best example for his family, friends and wider community. He’s also an incredible artist, creating meaningful bespoke canvas pieces. Oh and he’s even training a group of young Indigenous athletes to run the New York Marathon!
We loved this chat and can't wait for you to hear Brad's amazing journey and perspective on life.
