Skit: The Blockbuster Killer
Welcome to Film Logic. A movie podcast celebrating the past, present, and future with all the fandoms in between. We are part of the Retrologic Network with other classic podcasts like Retrologic, On Topic Retro, and Retro Groove. I am Mike and I am with…
Eston- The man who ages backwards
Tim- The Megamind of the group
What is everyone watching these day?
Mike- Lord of the Rings RIngs of Power, Shadow and Bone, She-Hulk, Super Store
Eston- The Peripheral, Spiderhead, The Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent, The Stranger
Tim- Dogma, Boblo Boats: A Detroit Ferry Tale, and one we’ll be talking about later
We are playing a new game today! I have a game called Forrest Stumped (working title) where we have to guess movies based on three clues. Actor, Director, and One Quote.
Example:
Johnny Depp, Tim Burton, “I am the demon barber of fleet street”
To make things interesting. Points are rewarded on difficulty. Every question will have a difficulty rating based on general knowledge. A movie like Star Wars would be an easy 1 point question, while a deep art house movie made in France that only Solo has seen would be a 5 point difficulty.
Topic: Brad Pitt movies. A collection.
Some background on Brad Pitt-
-Parents were a school counselor and truck company manager
-Left University of Missouri 2 credits short of graduating to move to Cali
-While struggling actor he supported himself driving stripers around in limos, moving refrigerators, and dressed as a giant chicken for El Pollo Loco
-He first recurring acting role was Randy in the Soap Opera Dallas
-His sister Julie Pitt worked assistant set director for Star Wars Rouge One and The Force Awakens
-Speaks fluent French
What separates Brad Pitt from other actors?
-Nominated often for Academy Awards; his longest time without a nomination is 13 years.
Mike: Megamind is better than Incredibles
Eston: Fight Club is a philosophical masterpiece
Tim: Meet Joe Black is one of my favorite Brad Pitt movies
Next episode is Pixarvember!
