On today's 'BradCast':  U.S. Attorney General Merrick Garland announced on Tuesday that the Justice Department will focus on the rise of domestic terrorism, particularly white supremacists in the wake of the Trump-incited Jan. 6 Capitol insurrection attack. New emails released today show ex-President Donald Trump directed the DOJ to promote and pursue his baseless Big Lie that the 2020 election was stolen from him. Nearly every day, new revelations expose just how poisoned the Justice Department had become under the Trump Administration, abused by the former president for his own personal benefit, to evade legal accountability, retaliate against his perceived political enemies, and keep himself in power. What we know so far is likely only the tip of the iceberg. That's why a group of non-partisan government watchdog groups have asked AG Garland to form a task force to investigate potential civil or criminal violations during the Trump Administration, including the seditious Jan. 6 insurrection incited by Trump. Constitutional attorney and longtime voting rights champion JOHN BONIFAZ, co-founder of the watchdog group Free Speech For People, explains why it is critical that this task force get to work as soon as possible, arguing it would be an 'outrage' for the Biden Administration to fail to pursue accountability. Bonifaz also covers disturbing new revelations that underscore the deterioration of the Justice Department under Trump, from attacks on press freedoms and surveillance of members of Congress to the disturbing continuations of Trump's corrupt DOJ policies, whether AG Garland is up to the task of reform, and much more. Plus Desi Doyen has our latest 'Green News Report.'
