On today's 'BradCast':  New charges were brought today against the four Minneapolis police officers responsible for killing George Floyd last week, as protests continue across the country. Trump (as predicted) backed off his threats to send US troops to cities to 'dominate' peaceful American protesters. Trump's Secretary of Defense Mark Esper now says that he opposes using federal troops against Americans after federal storm-troopers violently cleared protesters from a park near the White House, and his previous description of American cities as 'battle spaces'. A senior Pentagon adviser resigns, charging that Esper "violated" his oath to protect and defend the Constitution. Pat Robertson tosses Trump under the bus. Trump says he will find another venue for the Republican National Convention since North Carolina won't let him create a viral super-spreader event. Primary elections were held amid protests, curfews and a pandemic in a dozen states and D.C. on Tuesday.  Because of the pandemic, lines to vote in-person were much longer than usual, and unofficial results will take longer to announce, due to the expansion of absentee voting. Progressive Congressional campaign expert Howie Klein of the 'Down With Tyranny' blog and the BlueAmericaPAC joins us to discuss the noteworthy news from the few results we do have so far -- such as Ferguson, MO electing its first-ever female and first-ever African-American mayor, six years after the police killing of Michael Brown sparked national protests. In Iowa, white supremacist Republican Rep. Steve King was defeated in the GOP primary by another rightwinger who will now face progressive Democrat J.D. Scholten (a recent guest on this show) in November. Klein covers a number of other progressive wins and losses this week, upcoming primary races next week in Georgia and West Virginia, and much more...
