On today's 'BradCast':  We're back, and there's much to catch up on from an extremely busy news week, both nationally and internationally -- from historic heat and wildfires, to the Florida condo collapse and demolition in advance of Hurricane Elsa, to the US military exiting Afghanistan, and much, much more. The week was capped by the Justice Department calling on Congress to enact new laws to protect voters in the wake of rulings by Republicans' packed-and-stolen rightwing U.S. Supreme Court upholding two new voting restrictions in Arizona, both of which have been shown to disproportionately impact minority voters in AZ.  Rightwing Justice Samuel Alito invented new 'guidelines' that ignore both Congress' intent in passing the Voting Rights Act and the very plain language of the Constitution.  President, CEO and co-founder of the Fair Elections Center, ROBERT BRANDON, explains Alito's new, made-up guidelines, describing them as a 'a real departure' from conservatives' claims of reverence for so-called originalism and Constitutional textualism, and will make it even harder to defeat voter suppression laws in court. Brandon also covers how the new rulings will affect current lawsuits challenging the tsunami of new voter suppression laws now being enacted by GOP-controlled states around the country, what Congress can do about it, and more.  Also today:  a years-long study in Iceland finds that a shortened four-day workweek improved productivity in the majority of workplaces, and improved workers' health and lives....
