Mizzou is making strides toward the goal of eradicating global poverty and food insecurity. The Brady and Anne Deaton Institute for University Leadership in International Development matches student achievement with the world’s needs. Chancellor Emeritus Brady Deaton and Dr. Anne Deaton founded this institute five years ago, and its research already has a global reach. The Deaton Scholars Program, a peer mentorship initiative that is a component of the Institute, mobilizes Mizzou graduate and undergraduate students to conduct interdisciplinary research.
