Coach Forward is an interview-style podcast hosted by Jason Mejeur (Coach J), accomplished Coach, Mentor, and Founder/CEO at MaxOne.
Today, I'm excited to be joined by Coach Brady Walz. Coach Walz is currently a Wide Receivers Coach at Ankeny High School in Iowa.
He has coached all levels of football in his past, including college at Augustana University and the University of Tulsa, at several large high schools, JV and 9th-grade football teams at several stops, all while coaching nearly every position on a football field.
These experiences have shaped Coach Walz and are the results of his love for learning football, teaching football, and developing athletes and youth sports coaches for their own football lives and beyond.
In this episode, we talked about his unique approach to building a team identity (the "war dogs"), holding players accountable, Resolving Inter-Position Conflict, Creating a Family Atmosphere, and More. You won't want to miss this one.
About Jason Mejeur (Coach J)
Jason has more than 15 years of experience coaching basketball at the college and high school level and has lived on the sidelines and in the locker rooms working to build teams and inspire athletes. His mission is to build authentic relationships with his players so that he could have an impact on their lives beyond the basketball court.
More recently, Jason founded MaxOne to be a platform that makes coaches' lives easier and helps them use technology to have a bigger impact on the lives of their athletes
