Brain Gym® and Rhythmic Movement Training with Kate Wagner, MA

Listen Later

Brain Gym® is a movement-based learning program that utilizes 26 specific movements and a learning menu to coordinate the eyes, ears, hands, and whole body and develop the physical skills for learning. These movements often improve concentration, ability to focus, and the skills of reading, writing, math and test taking, as well as physical coordination, organizational skills, and self-control. Rhythmic Movement Training is used to integrate retained or underdeveloped primitive reflexes by replicating the natural repetitive movements a baby makes that are essential for development of head control, muscle tone and sensory integration. Retained or underdeveloped infant reflexes are involved in learning challenges such as ADD/ADHD, dyslexia, dyspraxia, writing problems, and ASD. Kate Wagner, MA, is a Licensed Brain Gym® Instructor (www.braingym.org) and is trained in Rhythmic Movement Training (www.rhythmicmovement.com).
