This is something that I think we all wrestle with... Realize that if God doesn't come through on the things that we wanted, it means that it wasn't His will.

Sometimes it's hard to let go of the things that we want, but trust Him. Believe me, His will, His way is always the best. He has the big picture and we can rest in the knowledge that He loves us and has what's best for us in His grip.
