White Settlement, United States – On Thursday, March 26, 2026, the White Settlement Fire Department responded to a major structure fire at Studio 6, located at 7888 West Freeway Service Road, at 4:54 p.m. The White Settlement Police Department also arrived to assist.
Officers Jonathan Loser and Sergeant Frank Blaustein were first on scene, followed by Officer Thomas Hale, Corporal Will Poarch, and Officer Luke Osborne. They immediately began evacuations to ensure everyone was removed from danger.
After running up the stairwell to the third level, the officers found an unconscious person lying outside a room engulfed in flames. Without hesitation and risking their own safety, the officers pulled the individual to safety.
Assistance came from Westworth Village, Sansom Park, and Lakeside Police Departments, as well as multiple fire departments and fire marshal offices. The joint dispatch through WEST COMM helped coordinate the rapid response.
“I am thankful that we have White Settlement Police Officers that are willing to take such actions as our fire crews are responding to the scene,” said Fire Chief Rick Sanderson. “I also want to thank the White Settlement Fire Marshal’s Office and Tarrant County Fire Marshal’s Office in addition to Lockheed, Lake Worth, Benbrook, and Fort Worth Fire Departments for their assistance.”
Chief of Police Christopher Cook added, “I fully believe that the immediate actions of our officers indeed saved lives on Thursday. In addition to our brave firefighters, law enforcement officers also go above and beyond during incidents like these to safeguard lives and are often first on scene… Their brave and heroic actions will be recognized by the Fire Chief at the appropriate time and venue.”
Two officers were transported to a local hospital after suffering smoke inhalation but were released later that evening.
