What makes a record "Good"? How do musicians and producers know if their song, in its inception, is a "Hit"? They say "Music is Subjective", but at times, qualitative and quantitative factors DO MATTER when it comes to making and performing Music. In Hip-Hop, Competition is the blood that runs the game and makes the whole industry beat. Names are dropped, disses are thrown, collabs and features make or break, and records get broken for all intents and purposes. 

For this session of The Made, folks from the DMV have gathered for a conference, fronted by Hip-Hop artists/producers generally representing and wearing the DMV flag in all its bastion and glory, to conduct discussions about the Music Industry, specifically, Breaking Record, and it's not in the way casuals think it means. Topics on what denotes a "Good" record. Discussions on how Playability, Accessibility, and the Artistic/Musicality of the songs/album factor in varying degrees. Queries on how much it matters if a record sells or not, and how the actual musical and sonic quality of the record factors into it. Most of all, conversations on Breaking Records in the Music Industry and what the term truly means for these artists and producers. People of the world, Welcome to the DMV Conference!
