In this episode we got the pleasure to sit down with featured guest, Joel Horsford (BA, RT), to learn about his journey throughout his career in the medical imaging industry.  Currently Mr. Horsford is the VP of Client Operations at Medmo, where they help patients find the nearest imaging center for their radiology appointments.  Mr. Horsford is also the creator and host for new Fireside Chats, connecting community and medical imaging together in the same space.

We instantly dive in to talk about the prior Fireside Chats and recent opportunities that we have had to sit on on other states legislative conversations.  The topics here are important as we encourage other imaging professionals to listen in, speak up, and advocate for the profession.  

Mr. Horsford takes the time to explain how a layoff in one industry led him into the education and career in another.  He describes what this journey looked like for him and how he views career vs a job in our imaging field.  Mr. Horsford also shares what leadership and building a strong team can do for a department as well as what some of those strategies may look like.

So many great things were discussed in this episode but our favorite part is that it was all about positivity and how to gain strenth in yourself, your leadership, and your team!  Thank you Mr. Horsford for coming on and spending the time with us, it was inspiring and we defiantly enjoyed the conversations!
