Breaking Barriers with our Gifts – Amber Whitted
Multiple talented creative Amber Whitted is on the Creatively Christian podcast, interviewed by Dave Ebert. Amber likes pretty much all kinds of creativity--she can do everything except draw! She specifically shares her approach to writing poetry and how her job with art is to "break barriers" and plants seeds, not necessarily to save everyone. Dave and Amber both preach that ANYTHING can be used for the Lord, but there are several boundaries that we might not want to cross to protect our Christian witness.
Amber Whitted is an author, performing artist, and model from Chicago’s south suburbs. Though blessed with several artistic talents, Amber admits that her greatest passion is literature. She has been writing since an early age and has written over 500 poems and short stories. Her literary offerings include 4 books of poetry, a poetic EP, and a novel. Additionally, she is very active with her church - Victory Apostolic Church (Matteson, IL). There, she serves in the Vessels of Victory Sanctuary Choir, the Women's Choir, and with the Victory Thunderettes Cheer Team as a Junior Varsity Competition Squad Coach. She also serves in leadership as the director of Instruments of Praise Liturgical Dance Ministry. She is a woman of God who wears many hats!
