Flipkart has invested in logistics startup Shadowfax as part of a $ 60 Mn Series D funding round which also participation from Eight Roads Ventures, Nokia Growth Partners, Qualcomm Ventures, Mirae Asset Naver Fund and World Bank-backed IFC.

The press statement from Flipkart claims Shadowfax currently 10 Mn monthly shipments across segments such as food delivery, groceries, ecommerce orders for fashion, electronics and other categories.

Through this investment, Flipkart will be able to streamline its grocery and fresh produce delivery business, which is operated under the Supermart brand.
