BREAKING: North Carolina and Hubert Davis have mutually parted ways after five seasons.

Davis went 125–54 (69.8%), made a 2022 Final Four run as an 8-seed, and won the ACC Regular Season in 2024. But it was a roller coaster:

- 2023: Preseason No. 1 → missed tournament

- 2025 & 2026: Back-to-back Round of 64 exits

- 5–7 vs Duke

Injuries played a major role this season with Caleb Wilson and Seth Trimble both missing games throughout the season, and a late skid didn’t help.

Davis took over for Roy Williams after playing at UNC under Dean Smith, taking the reins of one of the toughest jobs in the sport.
