Humanity once lived in shalom, a whole peace with God, creation, and one another, until the serpent’s lie in Genesis 3 led us to doubt God’s goodness and define good and evil on our own, breaking that peace and leaving us with fear and shame. Ephesians 2 shows Christ entering that brokenness as our peace, restoring what was lost and reconciling us to God through the cross.
Scriptures: Genesis 3v6-11, Ephesians 2v12-14
