Mosier Family Chiropractic has created a workout group called The Journey. This group is to help support those in the startup of their year and their health. We believe that this is a revolution and not a resolution. We can overcome the fears and the hurdles that face us without falling off track.
We believe it is important to keep up with your health as well as your spinal health too. We all know that going to the gym can be intimidating and demotivating. Here in our facility we have our very own gym that we use that has no judgment or ego carried in.
While keeping your body healthy is important, we also know that breathing is important too. It is essential to breathe with your diaphragm, in and out, with your belly. This gives you stability in the lumbar spine, or your low back. We encourage you to try out glute bridges and what we call the “cat-camel.” For glute bridges, all you need to do is lay on the floor with your knees up and bent, and raise your bottom off the floor. This supports and strengthens your lumbar spine. The cat-camel is simple. All you need to do is get down on to your fours, raise your back up and stretch and then lower your stomach and stretch again. This movement gains strength and mobility in the thoracic spine.
