Hello, my name is Cynthia Watke. I am a minister of the gospel of Jesus Christ. I was a missionary to Bolivia and Argentina, S.A. in the 80s, as a member of church-planting teams. During the 90s I ministered in worship, small group leadership and development, spiritual mentoring and coaching and counseling. I was a lay missioner with the UMC South Carolina Conference from 2002-2004 working with Hispanic/Latino immigrant populations; an assistant pastor and senior pastor associated with the Western North Carolina Conference of the UMC from 2004 until early 2009. I am a trained facilitator of the National Plan for Hispanic/Latino Ministry, a division of the General Board of Global Ministries of the United Methodist Church. I am fascinated by and passionate about creating, living and worshiping in community in an organic church. I love contemporary and alternative worship, discipleship and disciple building, small group dynamics, and the use of fine arts in worship. My gifting and missional role is apostolic and pastoral (see <a href="http://www.apept.org" rel="noopener">www.apept.org</a>). My leadership style is an Entrepreneur and Connector or "Relating Developer." Breathing | Space is a new non-denominational, relational, alternative & contemporary worship, organic church/ministry in the Augusta, GA area, that began initially through online interaction in the spring of 2009. This is a grassroots effort, beginning with the vision God has given me, a vision that is being and will be transferred to others who have a similar desire for alternative worship and organic community living.
