Deep belly breathing helps us through moments of anxiety and fear. Often, when we are stressed, we breathe shallow breaths and our bodies stay in fight or flight mode. Our body tenses up ready to fight or run away from the stressor. But, when we are breathing in deep breaths from the abdomen it’s physiologically impossible to feel anxious.
