Brentwood Stories

On May 24th Our Board President Mrs. Mary Reid sat down with us and shared her story of how her dedication to her community and servanthood through leadership has brought her to become such an influential figure not only in her community but throughout Long Island.

April 27th Author and friend of this podcast Robert Ottone posted a reading, Q&A, and book signing with J.T. Blatty at the Bay Shore Barnes and Noble.  Blatty read from her book Snapshots Sent Home, an extraordinary look into her work covering the conflict in the Ukraine. An especially topical subject giving recent world events. J.T. Blatty is a photographer, artist, veteran, and author.

“As a boy, Jeff Michael found his passion for life and music while living in Brentwood. It was here that he also discovered The Flying Nun – a discovery that would further ignite Jeff’s creativity. Join us as we hear about Jeff’s story, including how he became the founder and president of the Flying Nun Fan Club and how he is still working to keep the memory of this 1960’s show and its surprising Brentwood roots alive today.”
