Today, my guest is Brett Pletcher, Executive Vice President and General Counsel of Gilead Sciences.  After making partner at the prestigious law firm of Gunderson Dettmer, Brett decided that he wanted to do something different and joined Gilead — a company he had never heard of at the time — when it was still a relatively small public company.  I have known Brett since 1998 so it was nice to be able to catch up with him in his office in Foster City.
