Members of the European Parliament, or MEPs, on the Internal Market Committee will question the European Commission tomorrow about how it tackles illegal and dangerous products entering the EU single market. They will ask the Commission about its investigations into major online platforms and its recent efforts to strengthen consumer protection and ensure fair competition for businesses. Although the Commission says it is making progress in these matters, MEPs are calling for tighter oversight of fast-growing e-commerce sites and quicker, more effective enforcement.
