Bond returns in the U.S. had been following a rather passive path through most of June, up until the somewhat unexpected “Brexit” vote on the 23rd. Since then, daily fluctuations have swung wildly, particularly for speculative-grade bonds, amid the expected flight to safety in the vote’s aftermath.
