Brian Brennan's new novel is called "The Love of One's Country" is a story that begins in the Ireland of the 1840's and ends in modern day Canada. Two men, generations apart tell a story that draws a circle around the journey of immigrants fleeing famine to the descendant of these passengers wondering how the journey ends. For his part, Brian Brennan is a prolific writer and former Calgary Herald journalist. He told Russell Bowers how his new book feels semi-autobiographical.
