In this interview, recorded at the International Pinot Noir Celebration in McMinnville, Oregon, Brian and I discuss the art & science of wine tasting, the economics of the wine world, and his newest project, Viticole - an online retail wine distribution company that finds unknown wine producers creating fantastic wines at a fraction of what they will cost in the future. We talk about his favorite vintages, some specific pairing recommendations, how he is building Viticole, and of course - how he focuses.
