Bridging the Gap With Pastor Lloyd Pulley

Today, we bring you the final study in pastor Lloyd's series looking at the life of Joseph. "Greatness" is a word that gets thrown around a lot these days. In fact, it's thrown around so much it tends to lose its meaning. But Joseph truly was a great man. Time after time, as he faced new and monumental challenges, he always turned to God, and trusted in God to take care of things. Can you imagine a world in which everyone did that same thing?

Today we begin Lloyd's final message in his series on the life of Joseph. What a journey this has been. When it is all said and done, Joseph's life was a great example of perseverance, forgiveness, and triumph over the most difficult of circumstances. How was Joseph able to do it? His reliance on God made it all possible.

Today on Bridging the Gap, we continue a look at Genesis forty-nine, where Jacob has some last-minute prophetic words for his sons. Some of it is good news, and some of is very bad news.

Joseph's father Jacob will be the focus once again today, and what we really see in Jacob's life is a change in perspective. The way we look at life, and the way we prioritize things in our life says a great deal about our relationship with God. If you're honest, where would God be on your list of priorities? A pretty humbling question, isn't it?

As great a man as Joseph was, he didn't have a great role model in his father, because Jacob was a flawed and sometimes evil man - until later in his life when his perspective changed. We see this come through clearly in Genesis forty-seven and forty-eight.

Today on Bridging the Gap, Pastor Lloyd Pulley will take a look at God's promise to Jacob to make him a great nation. Pastor Lloyd is leading us through a series of studies focusing on the life of Joseph.

One of the most inspiring and encouraging things about studying God's word is seeing how God works through people's lives, and changes them for the better. As we look at Genesis chapter forty-five today, we again see Joseph in a position of power. He also is a son who loved his Dad, so he takes this opportunity to ask his brothers about his father.

The amazing legacy of Joseph will once again be the topic on today's edition of Bridging the Gap. The Bible is filled with great role models, and Joseph certainly fits that description. He has so many opportunities to take revenge for the mistreatment he suffered, but he remained a faithful servant of God.
