  • “Check Your Boobs, Babe: Mammograms, Early Detection & the Truth About Breast Cancer.”

🎀 Check Your Boobs, Babe: Mammograms, Early Detection & the Truth About Breast Cancer

Let’s talk about boobs, mammograms, and the conversations we really need to be having.

As a Stage III breast cancer survivor, I’m sharing why early detection and breast health matter, what I wish I’d known, and why we can’t afford to put off these conversations. We’ll talk about mammograms, screening recommendations, risk factors, and the importance of speaking up about changes in your body.

Whether you’re overdue for a mammogram, navigating your own breast cancer journey, supporting someone you love, or just trying to make sense of all the information out there, this episode is for you.

No fearmongering. No sugarcoating. Just real talk, practical reminders, and a little Brightside Babe attitude.

💗 Consider this your reminder to schedule the appointment, ask the questions, and check in with yourself.

Because awareness matters. Advocacy matters. And babe, your health matters.

Listen, share, and remind someone you love to check their boobs. 🎀

  • 🎙️ Episode 5: Things I Give Absolutely Zero F’s About Anymore

At some point, surviving the shit life throws at you makes you realize you’ve been spending way too many F’s on things that simply don’t deserve them. 😂

In this episode, we’re talking about letting go of other people’s opinions, perfection, people-pleasing, overthinking, comparison, unnecessary guilt, and anything else that steals your peace for absolutely no good reason.

Because life is too short to keep apologizing for your boundaries, explaining yourself to everyone, or losing sleep over shit you can't control.

Less F’s. More living. Brighter days. ☀️💗

  • Are We Really Listening?
🎙️ Episode 4: Are We Really Listening?

We’re really good at asking, “How are you?” We’re just not always so good at sticking around for the answer.

In this episode, we take a deeper look at mental health, what it means when someone says they’re struggling, and the uncomfortable space between “I’m not okay” and “I need serious help.” We talk about the warning signs we sometimes miss, the ways well-meaning people can respond, and why listening—really listening—can matter more than we realize.

We’ll also discuss the Lindsay Clancy case and why I believe it may become a monumental moment in the conversation around severe mental illness, postpartum mental health, crisis intervention, and how our healthcare and support systems respond when someone is unraveling.

This isn't about passing judgment or pretending we have all the answers. It’s about asking better questions, listening without immediately trying to fix someone, and recognizing that sometimes “fine” isn't fine at all.

Because maybe the bright side isn't always about finding the answer.

Maybe sometimes it's simply making sure someone doesn't have to sit in the dark alone. 🖤☀️

  • Episode 3- Where the F Did Everybody Go?

🎙️ Episode 3: Where the Fuck Did Everybody Go? Cancer has a funny way of revealing who your people really are. In this episode, we’re talking about the ones who showed up, the ones who disappeared, the ones who said the absolute wrong thing, and the unexpected people who became your biggest cheerleaders. It’s part friendship audit, part therapy session, and part “well…at least now I know who to stop texting.” 😂🖤☀️ Because sometimes the bright side is realizing who deserves a seat at your table—and who definitely does not.

  • Episode 2: I Survived. Now What?

So you survived… now what? In this episode, we talk about the weird, messy, and sometimes hilarious reality of life after cancer treatment. The scanxiety, the identity crisis, the fear, the pressure to “move on,” and realizing that surviving doesn’t magically mean you’re back to who you were before. Because apparently, beating cancer was only the beginning. 🖤☀️

  • Welcome to The Dark Side

Welcome to the Dark Side ☀️🖤

Welcome to Brightside Babe—where we talk about the shitty stuff, the ridiculous stuff, and the occasional “well…at least I’m not dead” moments. In this first episode, I’m introducing myself, sharing how cancer completely rearranged my life, and explaining why I decided to turn the chaos into a podcast. Because sometimes finding the bright side starts with admitting that this shit really sucks. Expect honesty, inappropriate humor, survival stories, and absolutely no toxic positivity. Welcome to the dark side, babes. 💋
