Project Hard Drive
Today's task is taken from the Artist Content Home project in Zero To 60 By AGD, an artist development program.
Make sure to backup all recording projects on a drive that YOU own. This should specifically include your FULL recording sessions if you're paying for your own production, each file created during a session belongs to you. Don't leave the studio without backing up your files onto a hard drive that you own.
This way at any juncture you are able to work on your project and it cannot be impeded by a member of your production team.
If you haven't paid for your sessions then an engineer or producer may not allow you to leave with session files, which is understandable on their part. All of this should be laid out in your recording agreement ahead of time.
Special Thanks to Ethan Howard who joined us from the Discord to provide his insights on Hard Drive tech and best practices.
