This film is wild. While Talk to Me was entertaining, this one is simply sadistic. I watched it twice and I don't feel the need to see it again. Therefore, I will rate it highly for its effectiveness. It's not for the faint-hearted, featuring themes of child abuse, self-harm, and pure horror. For example, a zombie voodoo child consumes a knife, a wooden cabinet, and even himself. The extreme self-harm depicted is reminiscent of The Exorcist, making it very frightening.Additionally, it explores themes of witchcraft, voodoo, the supernatural, and otherworldly actions. It has more emotional depth than Talk to Me, but it's not as enjoyable. I cried twice while watching this horror film. This movie gets gritty and emotional when it wants to. The creators of this film should take on the next EVIL DEAD. It's as if Gummo collided with The Exorcist. And yes, I’m a grown man and a seasoned horror fan, but I shed tears like a baby!
