He is one of six candidates vying for three at-large seats in the May 7, 2019 Democratic Party primary. Other at-large candidates are Vauhxx Booker, Jean Capler, Matt Flaherty, Andy Ruff, and Susan Sandberg.
Jim Sims is a former President of the Monroe County Branch of the NAACP and an original anchoring voice for Bring It On!
