Today hosts William Hosea and Clarence Boone spend the hour speaking with John Zody, Chair of the Indiana Democratic Party. He announced on November 14th that he will be running for the State Senate seat in Indiana’s 40th District in 2020. The announcement comes following the news from State Senator Mark Stoops that he would not seek re-election next year.
John Zody is a 20-year resident of Bloomington, originally from Martinsville. He is a graduate of Indiana University and knows how Monroe County’s vibrant diversity has helped it thrive. Zody plans to work across the district with lifelong and new citizens, community leaders, and students to make sure all Hoosiers have the advocate they need at the Statehouse to protect the unique character of the place we call home. He promises to be a strong voice and help all Hoosiers believe in their state and their future once again.
